I usually post funny/interesting/sweet things about Aiden and Lucas on facebook but not so much here. So I’m going to share a few statuses so yall can get an insight into what my boys are like.

"Playing at the playground, Aiden climbed up some bars that led to a platform but the platform had a space in between where he could fall. I tried to grab his hand and help him. He didn’t want me to. I said "No, mama needs to help you. You might fall." He didn’t let me. He kept climbing and said "Mama, I can do this." My heart melted, I held my breath and as he made it up and over with such ease then did it again and again, I realized my baby is a now a growing little boy."

"Aiden wanted to wear his hat in church and I told him boys don’t wear hats in church. I told him it wasn’t "fittin". Aiden says "yes it is. It does fit, look." And he put his hat on to show me it fits his head."

"Lucas thinks he is going to get out of trouble by hugging and kissing me…he might be right about this."

"How to know when Aiden is spending too much time with his mama? We walked into whole foods and he exclaimed "Oh! Those bananas are gorgeous!"

"Aiden: I want to watch Ju - wee - a Chiwld.
Me: *impressed by my awesome parenting at this point*
You want to watch Julia Child?
Aiden : Yeah, she’s the best cooker!
Me: I thought I was the best cooker?
Aiden : um…. Yeah…
* not so impressed with myself anymore*. That little goober

"Me: You melt my heart.
Aiden: Don’t worry, I get you another one.
This kid!”

My first ever baking class was a success! Everyone had fun, the pumpkin bread turned out well and I gave a speech about my recovery and what God has given me through cooking. I had a blast! My mother in law came for moral support and helped with the instructing. Then, afterwards we ate lunch and walked around the mall together. My first ever baking class was a success! Nowadays, all they talk about is sex and they think that’s all that’s important but it’s not. I want to bestow a little knowledge on these kids. You have breakfast, you have lunch, you have dinner, you have snacks, you have special treat night, popcorn night, chip and dip night…That’s what you need to think about. It never hurts to have a good pan of cornbread neither.
